Vakathanam About Us
Vakathanam Grama Panchayat is a vibrant rural local self-government institution situated in the Changanassery Taluk of Kerala, within the Kottayam district. Located approximately 12 kilometers from Kottayam town on the Kottayam–Changanassery route, the Panchayat serves as an important administrative and socio-economic hub of the region.
The Panchayat comprises two major villages—Vakathanam and Thottakkad—and is administratively divided into multiple wards represented by elected members, ensuring democratic participation and grassroots governance.
